How many different needs and opportunities are there in the world of industrial fans and in air and flue gas vacuum systems?

Always more frequently, those who produce expansion joints, or like us who design and produce fabric solutions for heat and noise control, are contacted by manufacturers of industrial fans, in order to solve problems, that until a few years ago were neglected.

Soundproof expansion joints, resistant to acids, perhaps made with antistatic materials, thermal or thermo-acoustic jackets, are all accessories required as original part of a fan.

For obvious reasons, the producers of fans, are increasingly involved in the search of the most suitable product for their needs and this pushes us to study more and more innovative solutions.

The processes of all industrial plants involve the use of pipes, for the passage of liquid or gaseous fluids. Almost always the pipes are delimited by flanged couplings or two flanges, used to join two pipes.

The solution to overcome problems are flange protections “shields”, designed and built with technical fabrics or  made of stainless steel.

Fabric cover shields are mainly made of Teflon, which is suitable to withstand aggressive fluids and temperatures up to 300 °C. They can be made of pure transparent PTFE,  with leak indicators, that allow the flange cover to change the colour upon contact with acids or strong bases and even in antistatic Teflon for use in ATEX areas.

The stainless steel flange covers are designed to prevent that dangerous jets of fluids, with high pressure or high temperature (up to 900°C) , hit people or things.

Our CHEMJETSHIELDS, which are stainless steel flange covers, are certified as protection to prevent jet fire primers in petrochemical, off-shore and hydrocarbon storage plants.

In combined cycle energy production plants, really high-performance textile joints are needed, to be used in the exhaust ducts of the gas turbine.

Smoke temperature, turbulence, pulsation, etc. are very burdensome for textile joints.

In the combined cycle, moreover, effective textile joints are also needed in the section of the exit from the boiler to the chimney, where the fumes are colder, but more loaded with aggressive condensates. Therefore, extremely effective textile joints are needed, such as Piperflex!

New Componit, in fact, has created a real Task Force, to modify the obsolete metal joints with the extremely performing Piperflex.
